Agnieszka Blonska

Agnieszka is a theatre director and performer. For the last 15 years she has worked in both Poland and Britain, collaborating with various companies and theatres including Wildworks, Desperate Men, DotComedy, Mercurial Wrestler, National Theatre Studio and Soho Theatre. She has directed several shows for the Theatre Institute in Warsaw and directed Vincent River by P. Ridley (Alma Theatre), Exportowcy (Theatre in Koszalin), I solo show (Whitley Arts Festival), The Waves by V. Woolf (Theatre Ochoty in Warsaw), Eintopf (a part of the international project Taburopa in Cologne, Warsaw and Brussels) and Once Upon A Time produced by Theatre Bristol, premiered in September 2014 at Circomedia, Bristol.

Her recent work At The End Of The Line, premiered in January 2015, is a collaboration between Vicky Abbott, the 50 Degrees Choir and Emily Dobson.

In 2008 Agnieszka was nominated to the Arts Foundation Award for Young Theatre Directors.

In her practice Agnieszka applies devising methods and improvisation, often exploring deconstruction and non-linear approach to a show. She is interested in social and political subjects such as social minority and its role in modern culture, but also works with classical literature and new writing.
